Board Development

The Nonprofit Enterprise Center (NpEC) is launching a Business Board member training program especially designed for companies that want to equip their employees with the skills to function as effective and professional board members.  The NpEC’s program provides a “Board Basics” seminar to ensure board members not only know their basic responsibilities, but also take their volunteer job to a highly effective level.  If your company would like to contract the NpEC to train a set number of your employees to become effective board members, this is an outstanding program.

When the project is complete, your company will be recognized as a community partner.  Employees will assume leadership roles in nonprofit organizations.  This will continue to build the confidence, independent thinking and decision making abilities of each employee.

Board Matching

The NpEC currently has almost 100 nonprofit organization members.  The NpEC is committed to providing participants with 2 to 3 potential board matches.  Participants will also receive a NpEC recommendation to a potential nonprofit organization match.  The NpEC will also provide a point of contact to participant to coordinate matching placement process.
